Introduction

The Global Association of Indian Medical Students (GAIMS) maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy against any form of Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE). For the purposes of this policy, a child or minor is defined as any individual below 18 years of age, in accordance with international standards including the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC).

GAIMS is committed to complying with all applicable national and international legal frameworks, including:

  • Indian laws governing child protection and digital safety
  • Global best practices for online platforms and youth protection
  • Relevant provisions of international digital safety regulations

Prohibited Content and Conduct

GAIMS strictly prohibits any content or behavior that involves or may endanger minors, including:

  • Any material that sexualizes or exploits children, whether real or fictional
  • Uploading, sharing, storing, producing, or distributing Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM)
  • Sharing or linking to third-party content involving minors in explicit or exploitative contexts
  • Any form of communication that attempts to solicit, groom, or exploit minors
  • Discussions, depictions, or representations (including images, videos, illustrations, text, or AI-generated content) that involve inappropriate conduct with minors

Important note: Even content shared with the intent of raising awareness, outrage, or reporting is strictly prohibited on the platform.

Zero Child Content Policy

To ensure maximum safety and eliminate risk, GAIMS enforces a preventive restriction policy: No images or media containing children are permitted on the platform, regardless of intent. This includes personal, educational, or casual content involving minors.

Limited Exceptions

The only permitted references to children are:

  • General discussions related to future family planning
  • Contextual references to children within professional or educational discussions, provided they remain lawful, appropriate, and non-sensitive

User Eligibility

The GAIMS Portal is strictly limited to individuals 18 years and above. Any attempt to falsify age or misrepresent identity will result in:

  • Immediate account suspension
  • Permanent deletion of account
  • Potential reporting to relevant authorities

Educational Use Clause

GAIMS permits limited use of its platform by educational institutions, medical colleges, and academic groups under the following conditions:

  • Must be used strictly for educational or academic purposes
  • Must be under the direct supervision of qualified faculty or authorized adults
  • Must comply fully with GAIMS safety policies

Reporting Mechanism

GAIMS provides a secure and confidential system for reporting any suspicious or harmful activity. Users can report through:

  • Investigations are conducted thoroughly and confidentially
  • Reporter identity is protected to the extent permitted by law
  • Users reporting in good faith will not face any penalties

Enforcement

Any violation of this policy will result in:

  • Immediate suspension or termination of account
  • Permanent removal of associated data
  • Reporting to relevant law enforcement authorities where applicable

GAIMS will fully cooperate with legal authorities in the investigation of any CSAE-related activity.
